Office attire is a tricky feat. Especially, during the Summer when trains feel like moving saunas and you need to look fresh for work. What’s more, figuring out how to dress your feet with sandals appropriately without looking unprofessional can be a daily struggle. Luckily, there are ways to make sure you can stick to your work dress code without looking like you are heading to the beach; just be sure to keep your outfit somewhat professional with a breezy dress, tailored shorts or pants and a fitted top.
Depending on your office dress code, you can get away with wedges or casual slip on sandals when dressed up with a carefully styled outfit. Straight up flip flops are not encouraged, but you may be able to rock Birkenstocks. We rock Birkenstocks on the daily with a stylized outfit of jeans and a trendy graphic top. Stick with sandals that have a low-to-mid heel and sleek structure. Our go-to brands for work sandals are Chelsea Crew, Eric Michael, and Kelsi Dagger. For ultra conservative offices, wear neutral tones such as black, grey, or beige. Brands you can rely on are Michael by Michael Kors. We are really loving Lucky Brand‘s Sanza High Heel Ankle Strap Sandal. If you’re not a fan of sandals and prefer to wear booties all season long to the office, you’re in luck. There are lots of options for Summer boot wearers, too!
We’ll be rocking our favorite fit-for-work sandals all summer long. Especially, for those Summer Fridays at the office.
